Alexander Fleet Bagby was born at Stevensville, King and Queen. Attended school at Stevensville, Richmond College, and V.M.I.; was among the first to enlist in defense of Southern rights, and was active in organizing the King & Queen Artillery — afterwards infantry; and elected lieutenant at the organization, subsequently captain; after the war, in business in Richmond, and then located in Tappahannock, Virginia, married F.S. Walker.
